The International Forum on Biology in Africa (FIBAfric) was held for the second time from May 8 to 10, 2018 in Dakar, Senegal, under the aegis of the African Journal of Medical Biology,
Prior to the opening of the Forum, RESAOLAB brought together all members of the network to develop a shared strategy for the program, addressing in particular the challenge of antimicrobial resistance.
RESAOLAB participants at FIBAfric included biologists, physicians, pharmacists, engineers and laboratory technicians as well as other lab personnel and students. Presentations focused on topics concerning molecular biology tools and antimicrobial resistance.
In addition, the history and evolution of biology and the ONE HEALTH concept were addressed during special keynote lectures.
