The 4th RESAOLAB Steering Committee meeting took place on 18 January 2017 at the Hôtel N’Gor Diarama in Dakar. Representatives from all 15 ECOWAS countries (including the seven RESAOLAB active members at the time), Steering Committee members and RESAOLAB coordinators, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Health, partner organizations and several observers participated in the day’s events.
Key areas covered during the meeting included:
- Assessment of 2015-2016 activities
- Planning future activities (2017 and beyond)
- Financial and budget report
- International coordination
The day started with a presentation from each of the seven countries of their initiatives over the previous year, touching on progress and developments in quality systems, training programs (initial and continuous), training manuals, renovation and construction projects, coordination and management, as well as challenges and limitations faced by the teams.
The RESAOLAB international coordination team also made a presentation.
